MIPS Announces I7200 32-bit CPU With New nanoMIPS ISA

MIPS has been a common name in the computing industry for over 3 decades now, but it’s hard to argue against the fact that over the last few years the company has lost some of its luster as a result of increasingly strong competition from vendors such as Arm. While this has limited MIPS’ success in the consumer-oriented products, it has been able to continue to stay extremely relevant in the networking space.
